Luther DeMyer was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and he received his dance training at the Indianapolis School of Ballet under the guidance of Victoria Lyras. He went on to train at Miami City Ballet School and Pacific Northwest Ballet School, and he attended summer courses at the School of American Ballet. Currently he is a dancer with Pacific Northwest Ballet.

 

Since joining PNB, Luther has performed in works by George Balanchine, Alejandro Cerrudo, Alexander Ekman, Justin Peck, Crystal Pite, Jerome Robbins, Kent Stowell, and Twyla Tharp, and he has originated roles in works by Vincent Michael Lopez, Miles Pertl, and Eva Stone. Luther has taught ballet and modern classes at the Indianapolis Movement Arts Collective and at the Indianapolis School of Ballet’s summer intensive.
